We didn’t have a p-day last Monday because
there was an MTC conference for all the missionaries in Bogota (Not in our
mission... just the City). In Bogota there are missionaries from Bogota
North Mission and the Bogota South Mission.
Three members of the 70 were speaking: Elder
Clayton, Elder Uceda, and Elder Camargo. It was a really good conference!!
The whole meeting was in Spanish and Elder
Clayton is super fluent. His
accent is amazing. It made me wonder how many general authorities are
multilingual.
The meeting focused a lot on the importance of
education in these last days, and that every missionary should work hard to
learn their languages.
The Church is stressing the importance that non-English
speaking missionaries become English speaking as English is the Language of The
Restoration!
